AIR CARGO FLOW
KLM Cargo invites you to help in the challenge of providing transparency on shipping characteristics from and for collaborating supply chain parties in order to ensure a compliant air cargo flow.
Can you predict the authenticity of a shipment?
An open-source blockchain solution enables secure and verifiable data sharing to create a green lane for customs compliance, and other applications for the supply chain and for the final consumers.
Long term vision
Vision: make healthcare more accessible and remove barriers for globally transporting pharma products; Mission: Create a peer to peer network to prepare shipment data upfront, certify it and eventually share it with the final consumer.
To ensure authenticity of a shipment, we need to verify that with every change of custody the actors signing for the change of custoday are authorized to do so from the start until the end of the chain.
For every interaction with a shipment, we use a physical identifier to allow actors to be authenticated by verified credentials and to sign data and transactions using their DID with the identifier. This allows for a flexible and secure use of authorization credentials, and possibility to track the chain of custody of among authorized actors.
Long term vision
For a trusted network of supply-chain actors, exchange of goods, data and information can be fully verifiable without loss of control over own data and identity information. For such exchange, every interaction with a shipment will be authenticated by means of digital identities and verifiable certificates issued to those identities.
